The successful candidate will employ flow cytometry cell culture CRISPR and molecular biology imaging experimental models and omics analysis (e.g. single cell RNAseq and metabolomics) to interrogate lymphocyte metabolism and function in health and disease.

A position is available focusing on immunometabolism and
unconventional T cells at the Faculty of Medicine at the University Hospital Cologne Germany. Join us to work on the interface of innate and adaptive immune responses focusing on innatelike unconventional T cells. We explore
how these lymphocytes mediate inflammatory but also tissue regenerative responses that are driven by distinct metabolic and nutrient programs and impacted by diet. We thrive to understand how mouse and human unconventional T cells exert both proinflammatory and repair functions on a fundamental and mechanistic level and also how this impacts immunotherapy of cancer cardiovascular disease as well as the interface of these diseases the emerging field of cardiooncology.
