Therapeutic Medical Physicist (Board Certified) Onsite Contract Jackson MS
Location: G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center 1500 East Woodrow Wilson Drive Jackson MS 39216
Schedule: MondayFriday 7:30 AM 4:00 PM (No call)
Contract Length: 1 year
License Requirement: Any U.S. State License Accepted
$200 to $225 per hour based on experience.
Job Description:
AllMed Staffing Inc. is seeking a Board Certified Therapeutic Medical Physicist (TMP) to provide fulltime onsite services at the G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson Mississippi. This position supports the Radiation Oncology Department in providing highquality cancer care to our nations veterans.
Position Requirements:
Board Certification in Medical Physics or Therapeutic Medical Physics by the American Board of Radiology (ABR)
Active and uptodate certification (documentation required annually)
Must meet credentialing requirements as outlined in VHA Directive 1100.20
Must be proficient in English (written and verbal)
Compliance with VA credentialing and facility rules and regulations
Required Experience (Chief TMP PhD Level):
5 years postboard certification with 3 years recent continuous clinical experience
Handson experience with:
QA on Varian Trilogy
Varian Linear Accelerators (IX Trilogy) with Brain Lab Accessories
IGRT Cone Beam CT Superficial Xray machines
Eclipse Treatment Planning & ARIA (2D/3D SRS SRT SBRT IMRT/VMAT)
IMRT QA (MapCheck I/II or equivalent)
GE Lightspeed CT Simulator
Acceptance testing and commissioning of linear accelerators
Required Experience (TMP MS Level):
2 years of recent clinical experience
Similar technical skillset as above with at least 12 years of experience per system or modality
