The University of Miami UHealth Department of Radiology at SoL Mia has an exciting opportunity for a full time Radiologic Technologist 1
The Radiologic Technologist 2 performs complex procedures in Radiology through the operations of radiographic equipment to obtain highest quality of diagnostic images with the least amount of radiation exposure. The Radiologic Technologist 1 assist with operations within the department. and oversees designated areas procedures and equipment showcasing independent judgement ingenuity and initiative.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
Operates radiologic and magnetic imaging equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes. Reviews and evaluates developed xrays video tape and computergenerated information to determine whether images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes. Records thorough and accurate patient medical histories. Explains procedures observes patients to ensure safety and comfort during scan monitors patients conditions and reactions and reports abnormal signs to a physician. Positions and immobilizes patients on examining table. Arranges imaging equipment and adjusts controls to set exposure time and distance. Records processes maintains patient data and treatment records and prepares reports. Organizes examination rooms ensuring that necessary equipment is ready for use. Performs scheduled maintenance and minor emergency repairs on radiographic equipment. Adheres to University and unitlevel policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

Education:
Associate degree in relevant field
Certification and Licensing:
Certification in relevant specialty or field
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
