Collins Aerospaces Strategic Solutions team is looking for an exceptionally motivated engineer that is passionate about collaborating with highperformance teams to create mission critical solutions supporting Mission Systems.
Our senior software engineers work in an exciting adaptive and engaging environment enabling rapid learning to drive success. Our senior software engineers utilize a variety of skills on a regular basis including requirements analysis synthesis of new and existing architectures development and delivery of highquality mission critical software. This position will support the shaping of the future of NC3 defense systems for the armed forces. This position is located onsite in Richardson TX.
What You Will Do:
You will be an important part of a highperforming software team collaborating with fellow Software engineers Scrum Masters Product Owners Software Architects and other teams.
You will support requirements decomposition and derivation to produce Software Requirements.
You will be responsible for producing high quality mission critical software.
You will have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers/interns.
You will be responsible for providing direct support to stakeholders answering questions and solving technical issues.
Lead and participate in code and related artifacts peer reviews.

Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
3 years of experience with Object Oriented Development using Java with the ability to create complex software designs based on customers requirements.
3 years of experience with development tool sets including Jira Git Visual Studio Code.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance.
Experience with requirements analysis requirements decomposition and derivation.
Experience with UML SysML MBSE and CAMEO Modeling tools.
Experience with virtualization.
Knowledge of microservices containers and orchestrators.
Knowledge in OMS.
Knowledge of DevSecOps and CI/CD.
Experience with pub/subs bus such as ActiveMQ DDS
Experience with Agile SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
Experience with Software Development for DoD contracts.
Implemented Graphical User Interfaces with Java frameworks such as Swing or JavaFx.
