Retail Bank line of business and functional areas include digital/online banking branch/cafe experience bank operations (i.e. account maintenance deposits ATM tax reporting etc.) contact center enterprise payments (debit ACH check wires etc.) marketing and product strategy and small business banking (i.e. strategy and deposits sales and servicing and lending).
On the Marketing Analytics and Product team youll be at the heart of driving analytical excellence across Capital Ones Retail Bank. As a Sr. Manager on the team youll be leading the data strategy for our Checking product suites. Youll lead both people and projects and guide your teams towards building and maintaining automation solutions that reduce manual work improve operational efficiency and enhance existing reporting. Youll work with our upstream data partners to drive our Data Modernization and data standardization journey. Youll get to enhance your technical and analytical skills while exploring unstructured data enhancing portfolio monitoring and analyzing customer engagement behavior.
On a given day you will be:
Refining a new Enterprisewide analytical tools validation framework
Planning and executing validation projects
Assessing the quality and risk of analytical tool methodologies across Capital One and the nature of tools usage within those processes
Understanding technical issues in analytical tools and assessing tools risks and opportunities
Independently researching identifying and prototyping industry best practices for emerging analytical tools
Communicating results clearly and concisely both verbally and through written communications via validation reports and presentations
Leveraging education colleagues and training opportunities to develop solutions to business problems
Coaching and mentoring junior staff
An ideal candidate will possess strong problem solving and conceptual thinking abilities in addition to communication interpersonal and leadership skills. This position will be in a fastpaced and entrepreneurial environment where you will be handling multiple concurrent projects while working independently and in teams.
Basic Qualifications
Currently has or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelors Degree in quantitative field (Statistics Economics Operations Research Analytics Mathematics Computer Science or a related quantitative field) plus at least 7 years of experience performing data analytics or currently has or is in the process of obtaining a Masters Degree plus at least 5 years of experience performing data analytics with an expectation that required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date.
At least 5 years of experience performing professional data analysis work
At least 5 years of experience leading and developing with open source data technologies
At least 2 years of experience managing people
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters Degree or PhD in a Finance Economics Statistics Mathematics Industrial Engineering Operations Research or a related field
At least 7 years of experience in statistical or econometrics handson work
At least 5 years of experience manipulating and performing analysis with large data sets
At least 5 years of experience in financial services industry
At least 5 years of experience in developing statistical or econometric models
At least 5 years of experience in validating statistical or econometric models
At least 2 years of experience with data governance
At least 2 years of experience with predictive analytics

The minimum and maximum fulltime annual salaries for this role are listed below by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for parttime roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Wilmington DE: $175500 $200300 for Sr. Data Analysis ManagerCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidates offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
