Job Summary
The PartTime Finance Clerk performs clerical support services to the different functions of the Finance Department as assigned by the Finance Director. Employee is required to perform in every aspect of the department.
Essential Job Functions
- Maintain regular and prompt attendance; physically present to work.
- Performs after hours work as required (nights and weekends)
- Assist with emergency response as needed by city hall and local EOC.
- Responsible for gathering and preparing documents for documentation.
- Assists other staff members in completing their respective assigned duties.
- Prepares documents packages for Commissioners meetings.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
- Must have High School diploma or equivalent (GED) and one (1) year of related work experience to perform such job.
- Applicant must pass preemployment criminal background check and drug screen at Citys expense.
- Applicant must have current valid Class C Drivers License and be insurable.
- Must successfully complete Emergency Management and Incident Command Training.
- Bilingual English/Spanish Preferred.
Knowledge Abilities and Skill
- Knowledge of office practices procedures and standard office and accounting equipment.
- Skill in the utilization of Microsoft Office Outlook Word and Excel applications to present and format information/data into meaningful reports presentations and correspondence.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions in detail with accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to work independently and with little supervision.
- Ability to maintain confidential and/or sensitive information accurate records and files related to personnel and organizational needs.
- Ability to establish and maintain a good working relationship with coworkers and the general public.
- Maintain excellent customer service during stressful situations.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational and time management skills in managing competing priorities and critical deadlines.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Occasional walking standing and stooping.
- Occasional lifting moving or positioning objects up to 30lbs.
