Job Description

We are seeking a TCK Educational Consultant to join our team and contribute to advancing the global mission through supporting the academic emotional and spiritual development of Third Culture Kids.

Location: Richmond VA

Rate: Competitive salary plus comprehensive benefits

The TCK Educational Consultant conducts educational screenings and offers recommendations to help determine appropriate global education options for candidates children. You will provide consultation and support to USbased families as they navigate their childrens education and collaborate with global education consultants and parents when educational evaluations are needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct educational screening for children of families in the candidate process to determine appropriate educational options in global field settings

  • Collaborate with Deployment Medical Member Care and TCK Education Consultants to ensure each childs educational emotional and developmental needs can be adequately supported in their prospective location

  • Coordinate necessary educational evaluations for children of personnel on STAS.

  • Partner with relevant stakeholders to assess and support children with diagnosed educational needs ensuring that appropriate resources and accommodations are available in the field prior to granting educational clearance

  • Provide consultation encouragement and guidance to USbased families as they navigate educational decisions and support their childrens learning and development

  • Advise the Global TCK Education Consultants in developing and implementing individualized support plans for children with unique educational needs promoting continuity and success across global contexts

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Education Special Education or a related field preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years of international educational experience

  • Proven ability to write edit and present comprehensive educational reports and documentation with clarity and precision

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex information

  • Demonstrate empathy discernment and relational sensitivity when supporting families making significant life and educational decisions
