Cyber Security Engineer, Senior

Abile Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Cyber Security Engineer Senioron a long term contract providing Cyber Security services supporting an Intelligence Community customer. All the personnel on the team will work together to provide security services and capabilities necessary to ensure IT services provided to the IC customer workforce are secure. This includes Identity and Access Control Infrastructure Operations Cross Domain Infrastructure Operations Cyber Security Infrastructure Operations Cyber Security Operations Information Technology (IT) Audit Infrastructure and Security Infrastructure Operations.

The right candidate will possess the belowskills and qualificationsand be ready to handle all responsibilities independently and professionally.

• Works closely with customers on onboarding updates and troubleshooting issues with cybersecurity tools.
• Provides insight into efficiencies that can be gained from the current workflow based on an understanding of the customers requirements.
• Works with Engineers on troubleshooting and building proofofconcept network topologies.
• Analyzes customer feedback to assist in process improvement.
• Performs engineering support and system administration of specialized cybersecurity applications and systems to include installation configuration maintenance patching and backup/restore.
• Provides Tier 3 maintenance and engineering support for deployed cybersecurity technologies.
• Identifies potential conflicts with implementation of any cybersecurity tools within the enterprise and develops recommendations to remediate these conflicts.
• Provides ideas for automating repetitive project tasks and metrics collection through the use of scripts and assists with testing/implementation to production.

Clearance Required: TS/SCI with CI poly.

Degree and Years of Experience: Bachelors degree or 4 years of experience in lieu of degree.

• 5 years of related network experience (firewalls routers switches and load balancers).

Required Certifications:

• Must have or be willing to obtain IAT Level II or higher certification within 6 months of hire.

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of Windows and Linux systems general operating system security practices TCP/IP networking and network security concepts.
• Knowledge of and the use of AWS cloud technologies.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with programming languages such as Python Go Java Java Script .
• Knowledge of federal Cyber Security Guidance such as NIST SP 80037 Guide for Applying the Risk Management Framework (RMF) to Federal Information Systems and NIST 800137 Information Security Continuous Monitoring (ISCM) for Federal Information Systems and Organizations.

Physical Requirements:

• The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets office machinery or to communicate with coworkers management and customers via email phone and or virtual communication which may involve delivering presentations.
