Caterpillar is looking to add a skilled Medical Office Assistant to our team in Seguin TX. As a Medical Office Assistant you will assist nurses and physicians in performing administrative and clinical duties as permitted by local regulations including preparing specimens and performing basic clinical laboratory testing. What you will do:
- Assists in scheduling patients handling medical records collecting patient information such as medical histories and preparing patients for examinations.
- Provides daytoday support to medical clinic operations including answering phones ordering supplies and assisting physicians during physical examinations as needed.
- Performs basic clinical laboratory testing procedures in accordance with detailed instructions.
- Utilizes relevant techniques to collect and prepare clinical specimens for laboratory examinations following institutional protocols and principles.
- Medical Office Assistant Certification preferred
What you will have:
Clinical Laboratory Testing: Knowledge of clinical laboratory testing equipment and procedures; ability to examine specimens according to test requests and to obtain accurate results for further disease diagnosis while following laboratory policies and ethics.
Laboratory Equipment Operation: Knowledge of laboratory equipment operation; ability to operate collaborate and maintain laboratory equipment used in quantitative and qualitative analysis while adhering to standard laboratory safety and operating procedures.
Office Support Tools: Knowledge of commonly used office hardware software and equipment; ability to use the tools available at the desktop (for example: word processing email presentation software and spreadsheets.)
Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit receive and accurately interpret ideas information and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Teamwork: Knowledge of the necessity and value of teamwork; experience with; ability to work cooperatively towards shared goals and being supportive of others at all levels.
Medical Specimen Management: Knowledge of medical specimen management standards and procedures; ability to conduct specimen management (e.g. collection transport handling referral storage and disposal) ensuring specimen integrity and readiness before laboratory testing.

Summary Pay Range:
$24.60 $36.90Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market locationjobrelated knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
