Core Responsibilities & Expectations for our NonDOT Lift Van Drivers:
- Contribute to an experience that Participants want to spend time in a team culture that cares and creates joy and an environment where all participants and team members belong.
- Continue to raise the bar. Constructively seek and share feedback and help us implement changes in order to improve clinical outcomes and experience for participants.
- Exhibit and honor Habitats values.
- Responsible for daily pretrip inspections posttrip inspections fueling and cleanliness of the interior of all vehicles.
- Responsible for adhering to the schedule provided and communicating challenges that would prevent you from being timely or safe.
- Drive participants to and from destinations in a safe manner.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with clients dispatchers and supervisors regarding concerns and/or issues.
- Drivers are required to load/unload with the use of a wheelchair lift and secure wheelchair bound participants facilitate transferring from Scooters to seats and ensure all necessary seat belts and tie downs are used within the vehicle.
- Drivers are required to use the provided messaging dispatching and GPS/Mapping programs provided on company devices.
Required Qualifications:
- Must have a Valid State drivers license for at least five (5) years with one (1) or less moving violations and/or one (1) or fewer at fault accidents in the last three (3) years.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least one (1) year of experience working with the elderly population.
- Must be comfortable using technology daily.
Nice to have:
- Experience in NEMT (NonEmergency Medical Transport) transportation or public transportation.
- Experience in wheelchair securement loading and unloading.
- Experience in Donning and Doffing of the vehicle between transports with knowledgeable use of provided PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
Compensation:
We take into account an individuals qualifications skillset and experience in determining final salary. This role is eligible for medical/dental/vision insurance short and longterm disability life insurance flexible spending accounts 401(k) savings paid time off and companypaid holidays. The expected salary range for this position is $21.00 to $24.00 per hour. The actual offer will be at the companys sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations including the final candidates qualifications years of experience skillset and geographic location.

For covid and flu we require either proof of vaccination or declination form and required masking while in participant locations as a safe as and essential requirement of this role. We also require that team members adhere to all infection control PPE standards and vaccination requirements related to specific roles and locations as a condition of employment.
