As one of the fastestgrowing warehousing and logistics companies in North America were looking for an experiencedOperations Supervisor for our 1st Shift Team.
Our 1st shift schedule is Monday Thursday from 6:00am to 5:30pm with daily and weekend overtime as required.
Summary:
Manage production and shipping systems. Monitor operation equipment and systems. Maintain safety health and environmental policies and procedures. Coordinate activities with other departments. Implement programs and procedures required to ensure plant cleanliness. Assist with planning and implementing plant improvements and expansions
- Plan assist and direct work to meet departmental goals and objectives.
- Create effective actions to enhance productivity.
- Recruiting quality employees to meet production goals.
- Motivating and supervising employees.
- Evaluating the performance of your assigned employees delivering positive and/or negative feedback and addressing any shortcomings.
- Designing and implementing departmental policies procedures goals and objectives.
- Ensure material is shipped to the customer in a timely manner. Make decisions on and arrange Hot Shot shipments to the customer.
- Responsible for OntheJob Training.
- Ensures compliance to Comprehensive Dock Safety Procedures.
- Ensure that the Five Alarm Process is initiated and executed.
- Ensures that material distribution in any shipment is sufficient to meet customer needs.
- Monitor the flow of labor and material in the department.
- Responsible for organization and cleanliness of the department.
- Involved in Multidisciplinary Five Phase Problem Solving Teams that directly drives companys Continuous Improvement Process and Policies
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Minimum of a high schoolDiploma
- Good writtenand oral communication
- Warehousing and Shipping/Receiving experience(Required)
- Supervisor/ Leadership/ Management experience (Required)
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Outlook PowerPoint Excel and Word
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
