Job Description

St Austell Brewery is recruiting for an excitingopportunity within our lease & tenanted team. Due to continued growthacross our Leased and Tenanted Estate we are seeking a Business DevelopmentManager to oversee a portfolio of pubs and lead further development in thisdynamic and highpotential area.

The ideal candidate will be based along the M5 corridor or near Exeter as this will allow for effective coverage of the area. The role involves regular travel including some evening and weekend visits to sites so a flexible and mobile approach is essential.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growingvaluesled business working with independent operators across some of the mosticonic locations in the South West.

About the Role
As a Business Development Manager youll be responsible for leading andsupporting a group of leased and tenanted pubs. Your role will be to coachchallenge and inspire your partners to grow sustainable successful businessesthat deliver excellent guest experiences and strong commercial results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspire and support tenants to deliver consistently outstanding hospitality.
  • Achieve financial targets across your area demonstrating commercial acumen and P&L ownership.
  • Be a visible and supportive presence across your pubs including regular evening and weekend visits.
  • Build positive collaborative relationships with key stakeholders suppliers and internal teams.
  • Deliver capital investment projects that exceed business return expectations.
  • Promote a culture of accountability growth and positive challenge.

About You

Youre a natural leader with a passion for pubspeople and performance. You thrive in a fastmoving relationshipdrivenenvironment and love the idea of helping others build brilliant sharp and peoplefocused you bring both energy and expertise toevery conversation.

Youll be confident working independently whilestaying closely connected to your team and stakeholders. You understand thebalance of challenge and support and youre motivated by making a realdifference in the success of others.

Were looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in multisite management ideally in leased or tenanted hospitality.
  • Understands how to drive performance through others with a strong grasp of business planning and P&L ownership.
  • Builds trust quickly youre an excellent communicator coach and collaborator.
  • Is proactive resilient and ready to roll up your sleeves when it counts.
  • Loves the idea of being out on the road in the heart of the action supporting pubs across the South West.
