Torch Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineer Senior to join Facility and Equipment Maintenance (FEM). Facility Equipment Maintenance (FEM) is a DOD (Joint) system (Navy led) at Gunter Maxwell Alabama. The Air Force portion of FEM supports Industrial Plant Equipment (IPE) Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) Tool Management and Owner Maintenance which is used to track production support equipment for the ALC production shops.

Responsibilities:

This position requires a highly motivated individual with experience in systems engineering to include but not limited to the duties below:

Identify describe and apply emerging IT acquisition strategies best practices ITrelated performance measures and quality management in support of acquisition planning information assurance/cybersecurity test and evaluation processes verification and validation processes and/or fielding and sustaining of IT/software systems;

Conduct reviews on program portfolio to evaluate and/or recommend alternative plans improve systems engineering programs/processes manage/sustain program technical baseline and design/perform system level tests to assure that subsystems and system performance is achieved in accordance with approved specifications;

Perform program reviews to evaluate alternative proposed plans systems engineering programs design and test results to assure that subsystem and system performance is achieved in accordance with program specifications;

Prepare technical documentation which defines specifies and recommends system/subsystem characteristics;

Prepare management reports and conducts technical presentations for planning implementation and corrective action using application of engineering principles;

Perform validation of software systems including development of analyses/evaluation criteria and procedures analyses/evaluation of results and related recommendations;

Provide Agile and Digital system/program engineering technical support and technical training to support programs/initiatives including but not limited to acquisition development integration sustainment continued evolution deployment/fielding and installation and operations oversight;

Provide engineering support services and inputs to program and project risk management activities in compliance with AF Systems Engineering Assessment Model (SEAM) processes; and

Perform all (system) engineering according to applicable DOD AF AFMC directives instructions and manuals to include but not be limited to AFI 63101 AFMAN 63144 AFMCI 631202 AFMAN 63128 AFI 99103 and their updates successors (as happens over time).

Masters or Doctorate Degree in a related field and ten years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed five years of which must be in the DoD

OR bachelors degree in a related field and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed five of which must be in the DoD

OR 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications eight of which must be in the DoD.

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Must hold active DoD Security Clearance (Secret)

Preferred Qualifications:

8140 Certification; CompTIA Security CE preferred.
