Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement innovative ophthalmology education programs for medical students and residents.

- Supervise and mentor residents interns and medical students in clinical settings.
- Organize and lead workshops seminars and conferences related to eye health.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in ophthalmologic techniques and technologies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
- Participate in departmental governance and contribute to academic planning.
- Grant writing for research funding and community outreach programs.
- Engage in public education about eye health and preventive practices.
- Oversee clinical trials and other research studies within the department.
- Contribute to peer reviews for journals and grant proposals.
- Participate in continuing education initiatives for healthcare professionals.
- Develop partnerships with other institutions for research and training opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with accrediting bodies and maintain educational standards.
Required Qualifications
- MD or equivalent degree with a specialization in Ophthalmology.
- Board certification in Ophthalmology.
- A minimum of 10 years of clinical and teaching experience in Ophthalmology.
- Evidence of scholarly research and publications in peerreviewed journals.
- Strong track record of successful grant acquisition.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students patients and colleagues.
- Proven leadership experience in an academic or clinical setting.
- Strong understanding of current ophthalmic technologies and treatments.
- Commitment to continuous education and professional development.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in the use of electronic medical records and healthcare software.
