The New Mexico Immigrant Law Center (NMILC) seeks a Grants and Program Project Coordinator to serve as a vital link between administrative and program teams. This role supports the Director of Program Quality Assurance Learning and Performance in managing federal and state grant administration and ensuring legal and social service program objectives are met. The Coordinator assists the Compliance team to keep NMILC on track with program outcomes budgets and systems that meet the needs of both community members and staff.
Primary ResponsibilitiesProgram Project Management
- Coordinate execution of operational plans and implementation tools for major grants and contracts.
- Support project management across multiple programs and teams including communication of expectations and tracking progress.
- Disseminate information internally regarding program deliverables modifications and related policies.
- Attend meetings with team leaders to ensure alignment between client services and grant requirements.
- Train and develop skills in NMILCs case management database (LegalServer) and help implement improvements.
- Collaborate with the Director of Program Quality Assurance to complete evolving program deliverables.
- Track administrative requirements such as annual trainings bar license renewals and CLE/external training opportunities.
Grant Compliance and Project Management
- Work with the compliance team to update policies required by contracts ensuring alignment with program needs.
- Coordinate site visits from government funders including communication and preparation tracking.
- Assist with subrecipient monitoring as needed.
- Support completion of Grant Award Modification (GAM) submissions and other government grant requirements.
- Track communication with government funders.
- Assist the Director of Grants and Data in preparing and submitting grant reports including compiling program data for reporting and evaluation.
Essential Skills and Experience- Bachelors degree preferred; equivalent experience and education considered.
- Highly organized able to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
- Strong time management and independent work skills.
- Detailoriented with a commitment to highquality work.
- Excellent writing research analytical design and verbal communication skills.
- Nonprofit and/or immigration legal services experience preferred.
- Willingness to learn new skills especially related to technology and data systems.
- Passion for data collection analysis and improving organizational data culture.
- Demonstrated teamwork flexibility and respect in a collaborative clientcentered environment.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse backgrounds and communication styles.

Compensation and Benefits- Starting Rate:$24.00/hour (fulltime nonexempt) with upward adjustments for additional relevant experience.
