Job Description

Job Summary

We seek a detailoriented intern to assist in generating monthly statistical demand forecasts. This role will involve monitoring and updating forecast process data for finished goods. The intern will also be vital in crossfunctional inventory planning and customer demand review processes. Candidates should be comfortable working in a team environment and possess strong analytical skills. This position offers a valuable opportunity to gain handson experience in demand planning and inventory management within a dynamic company.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Validate demand data from multiple sources.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining the monthly forecast for all finished goods parts using order and shipment history customer point of sale data market intelligence and industry trends to inform the projected demand.
  • Work with sales marketing and product management to understand product life cycles demand patterns and short medium and longterm forecasts.
  • Analyze and develop insights on data from a customer point of sales data systems and internal ordermanagement systems.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts to advance the demand planning and forecasting process capabilities.
  • Assist in maintaining the forecast vs. actual history data by customer product family channel geography and SKU.

Qualifications :

Competencies

  • Knowledge and experience with enterprise planning software is a plus(e.g. SAP JDA Oracle etc.)
  • Experience with forecasting methodologies techniques and approaches (e.g. moving averages exponential smoothing holtwinters boxjenkins discrete probability etc.) is a plus.
  • Detailoriented and ability to organize work activities in highly ambiguous situations.
  • Strong MS Office skills (i.e. Excel and Access).
  • Strong problemidentification and analytical skills.
  • Actionoriented.

Education/Experience

  • Undergraduate degree in mathematics supply chain or engineering preferred.
