Mechanical Construction Estimator

AECOM Hunt has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Construction Estimator to join our team of professionals in our Indianapolis IN offices.

• Works with the Company estimating systems and processes. 
• Acquire basic level of understanding of estimating terminology measures concepts and principles for preparing estimates.
• Recognizes how various processes/project actions and assumptions may impact estimates.  
• Under supervision prepares bid packages conceptual estimates and analysis of subcontractor bids etc. for projects.
• Performs duties with limited complexity under direct supervision such as material take offs compilation of historical data etc. 
• Expected to assist in the preparation of larger and more complex estimating assignments including the Estimate Plan.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirement:

• BS Engineering or related curriculum and 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Requirements:

• Mechanical Engineering degree.
• Demonstrated mechanical estimating experience.
• Experience in QA/QC practices construction documentation and site inspections. 
• Strong background in mechanical systems including HVAC piping and ductwork.
• Advanced knowledge of tools such as Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook Teams Excel Word).
• Construction software skills in Revit Bluebeam Procure Sketchup Navisworks etc.
• Experience with project risk factors and leading teams to success.
• Experience with permitting.
