The New York City Department of Transportation (NYC DOT) is seeking a creative hardworking graphic designer who can design for both digital and print mediums. Reporting directly to Executive Director of Creative Services the ideal candidate will manage among other duties demanding highlyvisible and largescale design projects including for citywide initiatives like Summer Streets Vision Zero Open Streets CarFree Earth Day and more. The selected candidate should posess the ability to present creative concepts to the Executive Director of Creative Services and other agency staff work with stakeholder on development and oversee successful execution. This includes recommending the best ways to visually communicate new safety and transportation improvement projects for the public across the various NYC DOT channels (print web and social media). Maintain existing NYC DOT brand and Vision Zero style guides. Design logos icons illustrations postcards flyers posters invitations ads brochures banners signage diagrams and reports for print websites mobile apps and social media platforms. Create animations and motion graphics for digital campaigns websites and promotional content. Develop layouts UI components and interactive elements that align with brand guidelines. Collaborate with agency developers to ensure designs translate effectively into functional UX web and app experiences. Design marketing materials including banners email templates and digital ads as well as enhance brand consistency across digital touchpoints. Optimize designs for different screen sizes ensuring responsiveness and usability. Stay updated on design trends animation techniques and emerging technologies.

Qualifications :
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to 1 or 2 above. However all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in 1 above.
