Job Description
The newly formed Solution Validation Growth (SVG) team within Consumer payments is looking for an individual with a technical bent of mind and interest in product ownership to help us continue to grow and launch new features and services. This role reports to Validation vertical with in SVG
The Technical Product Manager requires handson experience which includes the following responsibilities:
- Work closely with Visas technology and product teams to understand new business initiatives as well as the impact on current and new client projects and build Validation platform for Sandbox and Production be the Product Engineer for the Validation platform
- Design develop proof of concept to validate that the user interaction flows documented in the service blueprint developed by the UX designers Product and the Solution Architects
- Discuss technical implementation details with architects and other technical teams.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to build robust reliable and scalable payment processing platforms.
- Proactively identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement resulting in improved efficiency and effectiveness cost/benefit analysis and increased customer satisfaction.
- Build and enhance positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Define product/technical requirements which involve writing clear thorough and detailed user stories for complex features and product sets.
- Work very closely with development and QA organization to ensure technical specifications and final product meet business requirements.
- Support the development team in building deliverables in accordance with compliance security and quality standards for Visa required deliverables and the card payment ecosystem
- Participate in daily scrum meetings for the teams executing on projects being driven.
- This position may require offscheduled work including late evenings / weekends in support of client and company configuration changes and associated postproduction validation.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications :
5 or more years of work experience with a bachelors degree or 3 or more
years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree experience in the job offered or in a related software engineer front end engineer occupation.
Must be able to build frontend and backend applications from scratch.
Must be proficient in writing code and building POCs using JavaScript/TypeScript React and or and equivalent modern web technology.
Expert in web service standards and related patterns (REST SOAP gRPC etc)
Solid understanding of database technologies.
Experience in software development lifecycle in an ecommerce or web environment
Have experience in technical implementations of large scale highly available robust web or mobile applications.
Proven analytical and problemsolving skills. Ability to respond resourcefully to new demands priorities and challenges.
Must have experience in Identity solutions like oAuth OpenID Connect SAML security tokens (JWS JWE access token id token) or other IAM
Must have Cryptographic knowledge & Key Management
Must have experience in scripting for API testing tools such as Postman or similar
Have knowledge/experience of Design Thinking.
Experience with product management software tools such as Jira Align.
Have knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
Proficiency working in an agile environment.
Experience working in the Payments space.
Strong (internal and external) Client facing (communicative and written) skills
Strong organizational and coordination skills
Analytical mind have a curious mindset with an interest in solving problems alongside strong analytical and quantitative skills driving insight from data analysis.
