Job Description

In this Full Time Fixed Term role for 2 months based in Geelong you will be responsible for responding promptly to enquiries and requests processing elective and emergency patient bookings as well as general administrative duties including data entry. Theatre Bookings at Geelong is open Monday to Friday from 0730 hrs to 1800 hrs and you will need to be flexible to work a 5day rotating roster. You will be part of the Theatre Bookings team and report to Olivia Leitnaker Theatre Utilisation Manager.

  • An ability to cope under pressure and make informed decisions according to hospital needs

To be successful in this role:

Your welldeveloped administration customer service and people skills see you adjust quickly and work effectively as part of any team that you join. Excellent with your time management and organisation skills you can prioritise effectively to manage multiple requirements.  Previous administration experience in the health care sector medical or health fund industry would be advantageous but is not essential.

You will have:

  • Administration experience gained within a service industry
  • Experience with or knowledge of health fund checks and requirements desirable but not essential
  • The ability to work a variety of shifts across the weekly roster
  • Strong computer literacy
  • Experience in IPM or similar health systems software will be advantageous

As there is an increased demand for the excellence Epworth Geelong provide to its patients and VMOs our operating theatres are continuing to expand.
