What you need to be successful
- High School diploma or GED.
- Certification as a Level II NDT with experience in testing and inspection of aircraft components; weldments and composite fabricated parts.
- Minimum of 6 years experience in quality operations.
- Training and experience as a Level 2 in Penetrant Magnetic Particle Ultrasonic and Eddy current meeting NAS 410 requirements.
- Technical NDI training.
- Preferred knowledge of precision measuring instruments and special alignments.

We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future LongRange Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Armys Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless Bells Autonomous Pod Transport (APT) and Bells HighSpeed Vertical TakeOff and Landing (HSVTOL) program a next generation stopfold tiltrotor. This position is onsite in Amarillo TX.
Quality Operations Specialist
Bring your experience and ideas and help us by providing NDT inspection support required in the Quality Operations Department. In addition qualified candidate will be able to inspect by visual examination or precision measurement with instruments jigs fixtures templates patterns designs assemblies installations materials finishes mattings fittings sizes dimensions layouts locations and quality workmanship.
What youll be doing as aQuality Operations Specialist
- Operate Penetrant Magnetic Particle Ultrasonic and Eddy Current equipment.
- Develop and write NDI procedures.
- Inspect parts and NDI standards for various advanced materials.
- Support inspection and engineering personnel as needed.
- Accept and Reject product per T.O. blueprints maintenance manuals etc.
- Operate special kinds of testing instruments and equipment as required.
- Work from complicated or detailed blueprints diagrams engineering orders etc. to obtain proper specifications.
- May be assigned to various assembly inspection groups or to other phases of inspection of equal or lower level.
- Approve acceptable work or rejects all work which fails to meet required standards and recommends corrective action to prevent recurrence.
- Recheck when corrective measures have been completed. In all cases inspectors must have had additional training and experience required to handle the more difficult and complicated phases of inspection work.
- Use inspector tools and equipment e.g. hand and marking tools electricians and/or mechanics tools.
- Inspectors are required to adhere to and follow the Quality Inspection Manual Process Amarillo Stamp Awareness Guidelines and other related policies procedures and processes.
