What We Need YOU To Do:
The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency wants you to be our newest environmental specialist in the Division of Materials and Waste Management (DMWM) at our Central Office in Columbus Ohio.

As DMWMs environmental specialist youll provide technical support training guidance and direction to staff regarding financial assurance enforcement and remediation for solid waste infectious waste and construction and demolition debris programs. Youll be a liaison with division management ensuring staff are current on rules policies procedures and other topics that support the effective administration of the financial assurance and programs. Youll also peer review written correspondence and technical documents to ensure accuracy with agency and division policies.
Youll review evaluate and prepare comments on technical documents related to financial assurance enforcement and remediation as well as participate in agency and division technical workgroups. Youll take part in enforcement cases as a technical expert and perform various public relations tasks such as delivering public presentations and providing technical assistance as needed.
Additionally youll coordinate project tracking and prepare progress reports to ensure goals and objectives are achieved. Youll plan out work commitments regarding financial assurance enforcement and remediation while also updating the section supervisor concerning projects and making recommendations to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
