AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Geologist. The Candidate will join the Environment Team that provides services on large-scale environmental and civil engineering projects. Our teams work on complex remediation projects pulling the right resources from across the company to support project needs. The successful candidate will develop a wide range of skills with significant training and career possibilities and could expect to be involved in the following activities:
- Supervision of field activities (surveys and tests investigations remediation works etc.)
- Monitoring and sampling of the environmental matrices (soil groundwater soil gas etc.) adopting national and international recognized standards (US-EPA ASTM etc.)
- Collection of geological hydrogeological and environmental data
- Support on monitoring and maintenance of remediation systems and activities GIS management of environmental data
- Elaboration and development of collected data with models (i.e. hydrogeological hydraulic)
- Processing and interpretation of data collected on site
- Preparation revision and updating of environmental technical reports
- Contribute to design in remediation and environmental safety measures
- Coordination of external collaborators and subcontractors
- Support the PM and Project Team in the development of environmental project
- Apply and encourage a high level of Health and Safety awareness and Quality management.
Qualifications :
We are particularly looking for candidates with the following:
- 0-2 years experience in consulting company and some fieldwork experience;
- Fluency in Italian and English;
- Interest in geotechnical remediation and environmental projects;
- Motivation initiative and organizational skills to work effectively in a busy multi-disciplinary environment;
- Ability to work under pressure;
- Flexibility to promptly respond to the changing demands of projects and programs;
- Good communication skills both verbally and digitally ability to produce and understand written reports without consistent revisions;
- Ability to maintain good records of site-based activities;
- Strong attention to details;
- Flexibility and willingness to travel nationally to conduct site visits;
- Strong personal initiative and goal oriented;
- Good understanding of Microsoft office suite in particular Excel;
- Licensed to drive a vehicle in ITA (essential).
