Job Description
You are such an important part of the patient experience! As an admission nurse you will be responsible forcompleting an accurate admission and nursing assessment forour patients at the time of admission as well as assessing the patients status throughout the admission process. This will require excellent nursing care as well as building a supportive therapeuticand professionalrapport. Our patients often have anxiety when they are admitting so by using patience compassion and empathy you will guideour patients through the admission process. As part of the nursing assessment you will determine the appropriate level of care andcollaborate with medical staff and hospital personnel staff for appropriate follow through.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an NLN approved nursing school
- Considerable knowledge/experience in nursing philosophy policy practices and procedures.
- CPR certification within 30 days of hire
- Crisis Management within 30 days of hire
- Licensed to practice as a LPN in the state of North Carolina
- Knowledge of chemical dependency and dual diagnosis treatment and rehabilitation
