Position:Estimator
Reports to:Senior VDC Manager
Location:Victaulic Global Headquarters Easton PA
The Estimator is responsible for developing cost estimates for Fabrication & Drawing projects for construction as required by customers documents along with other internal and external support requests.
The Estimator is responsible for developing cost estimates for Fabrication & Drawing projects for construction as required by customers documents along with other internal and external support requests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Preparation/evaluation of: BIM Fabrication packagesMaterial & Labor comparisons Joint count conversions Engineering model conversionsMaterial TakeOffs (MTO) as required
- Communicate estimate and scope of work to Sales staff
- Determine scope coverage and manage risk of scope gaps to Sales and Customer
- Coordination of projects with work center(s)/sales/customers to ensure project schedule milestones and deliverables are met.
- Quality Control functions inline with current department standards.
- Utilize review and enforce the VDC division procedures and policies. Suggest updates as needed.
- Coordination scheduling and assignment of incoming Sales support requests.
- Assist Sales with presentation of VDC package quotes (as required).
- Assist in the training of others in the department.
- Assist other VDC departments (as required).
Qualifications
- GED diploma Twoyear Associates Degree and/or Bachelors Degree in Engineering related to Mechanical Plumbing Fire Protection or equivalent combination of education training and/or experience.
- Proven written and verbal communication abilities
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite MS Project Autodesk Revit AutoCAD & Navisworks software preferred.
- Knowledge of interpretating piping specification and mechanical piping drawings
- Knowledge of estimating software: Onscreen Takeoff AutoBid EstMECH QuoteSoft etc.
