Job Description
EDUCATION:
Requires 80 hours of NDI formal training.
EXPERIENCE:
Up to one year experience in nondestructive testing preferred.
JOB SUMMARY:
To provide technical assistance to engineering and corporate staff.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides technical assistance under the direct supervision of the engineering staff in compiling technical information solving problems and assisting in preparing reports working from various procedures and standard practices.
o Researches computes charts plots reads and measures engineering or test data.
o Assists engineering staff in compiling data and preparing engineering reports.
o Operates computer equipment to process engineering data.
o May be required to help prepare engineering data sketches.
Requires minimal contact with personnel in engineering to obtain and furnish information during training period.
Direct observation of a certified Level 2 in NDI is required for all Accept/Reject decisions.
