Position : Drilling Operation Engineer

Job Purpose:
- Plan execute control and supervise engineering work activities related to Drilling Engineering for exploration and field development projects under CarigaliPTTEPI Operating Company (CPOC).
- Manage project execution from end to end including:
- Developing contracting strategies
- Conducting technical and commercial evaluations
- Overseeing contract execution
- Monitoring project budget adherence
- Ensure all project activities align with company policies and objectives to support reliable and successful operations.
- Provide technical integrity solutions and expertise with support from Senior Engineer including:
- Conducting technical reviews and compliance checks
- Performing specialized engineering studies
- Continuously assess and improve well design concepts strategies standards and specifications to meet both domestic and international requirements.
Scope of Works:
- Drilling Execution
- Plan develop and execute drilling programs and well designs using appropriate technologies and methodologies.
- Analyze project impact to achieve optimum and costeffective well designs aligned with CPOC and MTJA procedures and guidelines.
- Monitor plan completion percentage to ensure project targets are met.
- Reporting
- Conduct detailed analysis and prepare reports covering:
- Bit behavior and performance
- BHA design and drilling performance
- Drilling operations analysis including NonProductive Time (NPT)
- Lessons learned and operational improvements
- Well cost analysis
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of data in all reports.
- Operations Improvement
- Provide technical support throughout all phases: conceptual detailed design (predrilling) drilling and postdrilling.
- Advise on cost and schedule impacts based on project performance indicators.
- Monitor and assess the implementation of new technologies.
- Identify and recommend areas for improvement and costeffective engineering practices.
- Initiate improvement plans aligned with well objectives and operational requirements.
- Health Safety and Environment (HSE)
- Promote and enforce compliance with CPOC HSE policies and procedures.
- Actively participate in HSE initiatives to ensure a safe and secure work environment.
- Track and contribute to HSE involvement metrics.
- Policies and Procedures
- Develop and review departmental policies and procedures in line with operational needs.
- Ensure full compliance with business requirements strategies and objectives.
- Aim for zero noncompliance in audits and evaluations.
- Other Responsibilities
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the superior.
Qualification(s):
- Bachelor Degree in Petroleum Mining Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 10 years experiences in the drilling engineering with at least 3 years in Gulf of Thailand experiences.
- Minimum 3 years in slimhole monobore & HPHT experience
- Experience in drilling engineering and operations.
- Ability to evaluate and analyze operational situations.
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Creativity capacity to keep abreast of technology changes.
- Fluent in both spoken and written English.
