What you will do

Role Overview:

The Financial Performance Associate will support the commercial oversight for operating assets in EDPR NAs fleet. You will plan and track budgets monitor financial performance of operating assets and O&M activities and support ensuring that the operations strategy and management framework developed by the Asset Management team is implemented consistently across operating assets

Main responsibilities:

  • Perform ongoing tracking of profit & loss (P&L) performance drivers for the fleet budget analyses (such as variance report and reforecast) and report conclusions and insights to management
  • Support annual OPEX budget and longerterm business plans creation in collaboration with other Asset Operations groups and Finance
  • Track P&L performance for Operations and Maintenance (O&M) selfperform cost centers provide insight into deviations and recommendations to address
  • Develop and maintain tools to analyze financials using Excel and PowerBI
  • Support creation of models for turbine solar and storage O&M expenses
  • Generate O&M expense estimates for turbine solar and storage projects to support procurement and development decisions
  • Support initiatives to improve overall performance of the Asset Management group. Provide insight and identify opportunities for increased collaboration and utilization of best practices in Asset Management
  • Collaborate with other staff to ensure that proper asset management processes and tasks are in place to improve fleet operational performance and limit risk exposure
  • Ensure project Owner and investor interests and concerns are prioritized in decision making
  • Interface with Operations Performance Management and service providers on routine operational issues and on initiatives. Support resolution of significant agreement issues that stem from operation
  • Participate in cross functional teams to resolve material issues affecting operational projects; track execution of solutions
  • Perform adhoc analyses of the historical and forwardlooking performance of the asset. Support other teams in creation of business cases to management
  • Work with other Asset Management staff and accounting personnel to ensure reporting obligations are met in a timely manner
  • Meet reporting obligations to financing entities by providing necessary commentary and reports as required under the companys financing obligations. Interface with Portfolio Management on matters impacting the performance of EDPRs assets
  • Develop market and industry knowledge to inform proper budgeting and treatment of financial
  • Notify relevant staff and help to resolve issues when milestones are delinquent or a trigger event has occurred

What are we looking for

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Economics or a related field
  • 3 7 years of relevant experience
  • Preferred: experience with database management/analytics (SQL) macros (VBA) dashboard/BI (Tableau Power BI)
  • Understanding of Microsoft products and/or complementing products preferred.
  • Competency in Analytical Problem Solving Strong Communication Customer/Partner Relationships and Technology Expertise preferred

  • Lifting: Ability to lift items weighing up to 10 pounds
  • Vision/Hearing: Ability to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written verbal diagram or schedule form
  • Safety: Ability to understand and communicate safety precautions when necessary
