Purpose of Position: We invite you to consider joining our team of educators who are passionate about multilingualism and character development. As a Spanish Teacher you will be responsible for creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment for students k5 with diverse proficiency levels. Your primary objective will be to foster language proficiency and cultural awareness through engaging lessons.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Review curriculum and prepare dynamic studentcentered and communicativefocused lessons
- Design and develop comprehensive language curricula that cater to the needs and goals of diverse learners.
- Facilitate interactive and engaging class sessions in target language (80%)
- Administer formative and summative assessments
- Encourage language use outside of class
- Communicate student progress with parents and teachers
- Demonstrate effective classroom management skills
- Commit to regular training and professional development
- Record and report student progress
- Sub in program as needed

Requirements:
- Native or Highly Proficient Speaker of Spanish
- Native or Highly Proficient Speaker of English
- Coursework in language instruction pedagogy teacher education or related field
- Experience working in a classroom setting
- Able to express and garner enthusiasm about language learning
- Experience in creating educational resources to support student learning
- Proficient in collaborative technological tools to enhance student success
Schedule:
Up to 26 hours per week
Monday Friday 2:30 PM 5:00 PM
80% of hours in the afternoon
20 % of hours in the mornings
Specific hours and locations are to be discussed with the Director of Programs upon hire
