Job Description
Job Opportunity: Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant with Phlebotomy Experience
Location: California (various locations detailed below)
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Duration: 8 months
Compensation: $23.00 per hour mileage reimbursement
Payment: Weekly pay via direct deposit
About the Role:
We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) with phlebotomy experience to join our team for an 8month assignment. If youre an organized compassionate professional passionate about patient care this is a great opportunity for handson experience across multiple locations in California.
Job Responsibilities:
As a Medical Assistant you will perform a variety of clinical and administrative responsibilities including:
- Taking patient blood pressure measurements
- Performing EKGs
- Drawing blood for medical testing
- Conducting vision tests (onsite training provided)
- Performing Xrays (onsite training provided)
- Managing patient paperwork efficiently
- Ensuring the highest standard of patient care
Requirements:
- Certification: Current certification as a CMA or RMA through an accredited organization (ACA AMT AMCA ASCP NCCT NCA or NHA).
- Proven experience as a Medical Assistant preferred (will consider motivated individuals willing to learn onsite).
- Phlebotomy skills with confidence in blood draws and EKGs (or willingness to train quickly).
- Physical and TB test (completed within the past year).
- CPR and First Aid certification (current).
- Criminal Clearance (issued within the past year).
- Strong interpersonal skills to provide a positive patient experience.
- Adaptability to handle patient volume and efficiency in highpressure environments.
- Passionate about patient care with a teamoriented mindset.
Travel Schedule (First Months Locations)
This role will require travel to multiple sites throughout southern California (mileage reimbursed). Below is the schedule for the first two months:
- June 2nd June 13th: ECTC 3325 Temple Ave. Pomona CA 91766
- June 16th June 27th: FS171 141 W. Regent St. Inglewood CA 90301
- Week of July 4th: Off
- July 7th July 18th: FSth Street West Lancaster CA 93534
- July 21st August 1st: FSCanwood St. Agoura Hills CA 91301
- August 4th August 15th: Northern Section Lifeguard HQ 30050 CA1 Malibu CA 90265
