Job Description

New England Air Systems is looking to hire a fulltime entry level IAQ (Indoor Air Quality) Duct Cleaning Technician that will play a vital part in providing healthy and wellfunctioning environments for all our customers HVAC Systems. This position is responsible for improving the air quality by cleaning out air duct systems in a thorough and detailoriented manner.

We will train this person about duct cleaning of air ducts and HVAC units. We want this person to be able to identify areas of needed improvement and be able to recommend various products and services. This department has great career growth within the HVAC industry.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning duct cleaning systems to provide basic maintenance and performing inspections through effective communication.
  • Perform airhandling unit cleaning.
  • Clean and mark if needed all registers and returns.
  • Productively and safely move furniture to prepare the business for cleaning.
  • Clean Kitchen Hoods and their exhaust duct systems in commercial kitchens.
  • Assist in cleanup of work area.
  • Provide maintenance on duct cleaning equipment tools and vehicles.
  • Take before during and after photos of job being performed.
  • Track inventory in vehicle daily basis.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • You have flexibility and the ability to work offshift hours (nights and weekends are required) and the ability to travel to various jobsites if required.

  • You are hard working and enjoy providing high quality results to our customers.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • We will work with a high school senior who is looking to fulfill their coop experience with their tech school.
  • Must have a valid drivers license and a good driving record.
  • Must be able to pass required background checks at certain facilities that we work in.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 75 lbs occasionally and 50 lbs repetitively.
  • Compliance with company safety policies at all times by wearing the proper PPE for each job task as required by VOSHA OSHA and NIOSH guidelines.
  • The ability to climb and work from up to a 40foot ladder.
  • Ability to stand for 8hour shift.
  • Requires work in confined spaces.
  • This position requires the use of a respirator so a cleanshaven appearance is a necessity.
