Job Description

We are seeking a detailoriented and experienced Estate Planning Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estate planning exceptional organizational skills and a clientfocused approach. This role involves working directly with attorneys and clients to draft estate planning documents manage case files and ensure the timely and accurate completion of legal matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and prepare estate planning documents including wills trusts powers of attorney and healthcare directives.
  • Review and analyze financial statements beneficiary designations and deeds.
  • Coordinate and manage trust funding and asset alignment.
  • Assist with probate and trust administration including preparation of court forms notices and filings.
  • Maintain client files and case management systems with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Schedule client meetings manage calendars and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Communicate effectively with clients financial institutions and government agencies.
  • Support attorneys with legal research and the preparation of memoranda and correspondence.
  • Maintain uptodate knowledge of estate gift and inheritance tax laws and regulations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or Paralegal Certificate from an ABAapproved program; Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal with a focus on estate planning and/or probate.
  • Strong knowledge of estate planning documents procedures and relevant state laws.
  • Proficient in legal software and case management tools (e.g. Clio WealthCounsel Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a deadlinedriven environment.
  • Discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive client information.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Medicaid planning elder law or taxrelated estate issues.
  • Notary Public certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Bilingual skills (if relevant to client base).
