NiX is looking for aData Analyst who can work closely with local Data SMEs to analyze incoming retailer data map it to a common data model configure ingestion pipelines and monitor data processing workflows in Snowflake. The role requires both technical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders.
The project focuses on onboarding retailer pointofsale (POS) sales data into a centralized cloud data warehouse based on Snowflake. This work is part of a larger digital transformation initiative within the organization aiming to enable advanced analytics and commercial insights across multiple European markets. The onboarding process must be agile to accommodate constant changes in retailer systems and data structures.

Key Responsibilities:
- Business Interaction:Collaborate directly with local Data SMEs (subject matter experts) in each market; no direct interaction with senior initiative sponsors is required.
- Data Analysis: Understand incoming retailer files perform data mapping to a common retailer pointofsale data model.
- Configuration and Parametrization:Create configuration scripts (e.g. JSON files) to drive semiautomated ingestion processes. Handle small parameterized transformations (e.g. conditional logic).
- Technical Operations and Monitoring: Trigger and monitor data pipelines after the mapping is completed (data ingestion into Snowflake).
- Perform basic data validation and reconciliation (e.g. checking row counts validating key fields).
- Investigate ingestion issues reprocess data if needed and rerun transformation jobs.
- Support multiple parallel onboarding streams across different countries and retailers at varying stages of maturity.
- Adapt quicklyto evolving retailer data formats and platform migrations.
Requirements:
- 45 years of commercial experience at a senior level
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and provide actionable insights
- Solid understanding of dimensional data modeling concepts (e.g. star/snowflake schemas Kimball methodology)
- Experience working with semistructured data formats (e.g. JSON)
- Proficient in SQL for data exploration reporting and transformation tasks
- Strong Excel skills including advanced formulas pivot tables and data analysis tools
- Familiarity with Snowflake (nice to have)
- Experience collaborating with crossfunctional teams and engaging with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver datadriven solutions
- Exposure to business analysis practices including documentation requirement gathering and stakeholder communication
