We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future LongRange Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Armys Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bells HighSpeed Vertical TakeOff and Landing (HSVTOL) program a next generation stopfold tiltrotor.
Instrumentation Labs
In the Instrumentation Labs we provide the various programs decisionquality this group you will work with many programs across in a wide range of product life cycles to ensure our aircraft can operate safely and will work with established products like V22 aircraft that are being tested for certifications like 525 new programs like FLRAA and the development projects that will shape the future of a healthy mix of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering we figure out how to get the measurements these programs need and execute those plans.
What youll be doing as an Engineering Technician Drive Systems Test Lab
Build configure and maintain the data systems used in the Drive Systems Test Lab
Install configure wire and maintain various sensors and transducers involved in these tests including strain gages pressure transducers temperature sensors encoders displacement transducers and accelerometers.
Work independently from drawings to fabricate and configure electronic circuits including wiring harness assemblies.
Check out and troubleshoot data systems using oscilloscopes digital multi meters and other test equipment.
Properly handle and safeguard test components.
Must be certified or otherwise possess excellent solder skills.
Experience with or other demonstrated understanding of data systems and sensors including strain gages accelerometers temperature and displacement.
Experience reading engineering drawings transducer installation and calibration and DC circuit troubleshooting.
Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team environment with customers and with other functional disciplines.
Some travel and shift work may be required.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs and safely work in test cells.
What you need to be successful
2 year technical degree with emphasis on electronics or 4 years of experience in electronics or testing.
Related degrees or other relevant experience will be considered.
Youll be off every other Friday with our 9/80 work schedule
