JOB SUMMARY:
The primary role of the Procurement Coordinator is to focus on the travel and/or expense spend categories. The secondary is to work on procurement activities.
Travel responsibilities include coordinating individual and group travel such as banquets offsite meetings Caterpillar tours Con Expo etc. for the organizations employees and reconciling these expenses. The coordinator works strategically with our procurement analysts and travel vendors TMC hotels and venues to negotiate pricing and manage the ongoing business relationships. Additionally the coordinator is responsible for reconciling all travel transactions with the various methods of payment Pcard virtual cards and direct invoicing. Expense responsibilities include employee expense audit analysis processing review approval and audit of corporate P cards administration of the vehicle reimbursement program and Motus for compliance with policy.
Assistance with other procurement activities including GBS orders reception mail room projects etc.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required with some college preferred.
- One to five years of accounting and customer service experience is preferred.
- Must have technological proficiency including a thorough understanding of Microsoft Office programs (Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook) and strong mathematical skills.
- Basic bookkeeping skills would be helpful and attention to detail is necessary.
- Must be dependable and flexible in terms of work schedule.
- Professionalism in all aspects of the positions duties must consistently be demonstrated.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication telephone customer service organizational attention to detail multitasking confidentiality and technical aptitude.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods; to occasionally stoop bend kneel crouch reach and twist; to lift carry push and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard and to verbally communicate to exchange information. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
