Ford Model E is responsible for developing the key technologies and capabilities such as EV platforms batteries emotors inverters charging and recycling to create groundup breakthrough electric vehicles. As a Senior Electrical Hardware Systems Engineer you will be the primary technical point of contact for low voltage controllers within the vehicle. You will be responsible for the complete endtoend integration of inhouse electronic control units within the electrical architecture and participate in systemlevel design activities for all interfacing subsystems. You will collaborate closely with the hardware development team providing specifications and requirements for controller design. You will facilitate all related workstreams and ensure seamless integration of your module into the vehicle. You will conceptualize design engineer develop and support the launch of nextgeneration vehicle platform architectures for electric vehicles.

B.S in Electrical Computer or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
6 years of experience working on complex electrical systems or electronics designs
Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals and ability to apply them to automotive concepts
Proven debugging and diagnostic skills in electrical mechanical and software domains
Highly skilled in low voltage systems development electric vehicle system architecture functional safety and component level integration planning
Experience with requirements capture in requirements management software platforms (JAMA etc.)
Experience with microprocessorbased system design and development
Familiarity with common communication interfaces such as SPI I2C UART and Ethernet
Excellent teamwork problemsolving communication and project management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
An eagerness to work crossfunctionally in a dynamic environment where you are part of a high performing team
A systems approach to design and development with the desire and curiosity to strive for exceptional delivery execution and continuous improvement
Even better you may have...
Masters Degree Electrical Engineering Computer Science Mechanical Engineering or related fields
Handson experience with electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes DMMs signal generators power supplies etc.)
Experience with hardware development from concept through production launch in automotive or similar
Experience with Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA)
Experience with electrical / electromechanical devices involving networked microcontrollers and embedded software

This position is a salary grade 8.
