Position Overview

The Sous Chef is a handson leader who supports the Executive Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations maintaining high culinary standards and ensuring outstanding guest dining experience. The ideal candidate will bring creativity strong leadership and a passion for hospitality to our vibrant resort environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the daily supervision and coordination of all kitchen operations.
  • Ensure food quality presentation and consistency meet brand and resort standards.
  • Lead by example in maintaining cleanliness food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Support menu planning development and execution in collaboration with the Executive Chef.
  • Train mentor and develop kitchen staff; foster a positive and professional work environment.
  • Monitor inventory levels and control food costs through efficient ordering and waste reduction.
  • Assist with scheduling labor management and kitchen budget adherence.
  • Ensure compliance with all local state and federal health regulations.
  • Step in to lead kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 3 years of culinary leadership experience preferably in a hotel resort or highvolume environment.
  • Degree or certification in Culinary Arts preferred but not required.
  • Strong understanding of various cooking methods ingredients and equipment.
  • Proven ability to manage kitchen operations inventory and labor cost controls.
