Job Description
REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or equivalent. Must have a valid drivers license. Five or more years of experience normally required. Strong verbal written analytical and interpersonal skills required. Must be able to pass a physical exam and drug screening test.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directs and assists technicians in the repair of machines. Assists shop manager in daily duties to include direction of technicians to ensure quality repairs and accurate completion of all paperwork including time cards parts orders parts returns and service reports. Must be capable of inspecting machines for needed repairs and inspecting machines at completion to ensure quality repairs and customer satisfaction. Must be capable of managing a shop in the managers absence.
Follows and communicates directions accurately and has tasks performed in an efficient time while working with no supervision.
Works with manager to assign technicians to jobs on a daily basis.
Accepts responsibility for own work and understands the impact of this work on the company.
Directs technicians in the inspection of machines determining parts reusability and developing parts and material lists as needed.
Inspects all machines after repairs to ensure that repairs are completed and that there are no other problems with the machine.
Assists technicians in failure analysis of machines to ensure accurate and quality repairs.
Shows interest in own work.
Has knowledge of test equipment and procedures and capable of diagnosing problems making repair decisions and setting up jobs with no supervision.
Prepared to purchase hand tools as required to perform the job.
Properly safeguards all tools. Keeps an updated itemized record of employeeowned tools on file which includes pictures and cost of tools and toolbox.
Holds a valid CDL Class A or B as needed
