Job Description
Purchasing Agent/Material Control Assistant
The Purchasing Agent (Purchaser) will be responsible for the procurement of all assets for the company. They will also assist Material Control in inventory management.
Responsibilities:
Perform Material Control inventory taskings as needed
Process requisitions from all divisions placing orders via phone email or internet
Utilize ERP system enter orders and release them to venders
Obtain competitive quotes on raw material parts components and consumables
Manage vendor questions/problems and work with engineering manufacturing and management to resolve problems
Identifying/purchasing of quick turnarounditems for product development
Perform internal audits of internal processes and standards to ensure compliance
Manage DMS Database to monitor product lifecycle
Requirements:
Knowledge of manufacturing and inventory control policies and procedures
Familiar with electronic/mechanical parts and components
Experience with ERP systems
High level of Math and Analytical Skills
Good negotiating skills
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word Excel Outlook)
