Job Description

Job Title: Munitions Management Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Location: Fairfax VA (with potential domestic and overseas travel)

Clearance Required: Secret

Plateau GRP is seeking a knowledgeable and highly experienced Munitions Management Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide critical expertise in support of U.S. Army and Marine Corps ammunition planning forecasting and management operations. The successful candidate will apply deep institutional knowledge of Class V operations Army/Marine Corps regulatory frameworks and munitions training requirements to enhance decisionmaking and operational readiness.

This position demands at least 12 years of specialized technical or functional experience in munitions operations with demonstrated leadership and analytical expertise to address complex and sensitive ammunition management challenges.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on munitions authorization management training ammunition forecasting and combat requirement calculations.
  • Advise and support U.S. Army and Marine Corps units on STRAC and Marine Corps munitions requirements generation processes.
  • Apply expertlevel knowledge of Class V supply chain and operational planning to resolve highly sensitive issues.
  • Assist in interpreting and implementing Army and Marine Corps munitions regulations and guidance across unit and command levels.
  • Analyze and optimize munitions resource allocation usage trends and resupply planning based on realworld data.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of munitions management systems and business processes.
  • Collaborate with software development and integration teams to ensure munitions data requirements are properly represented in platforms such as TAMIS and other DoD systems.
  • Travel as required to support missions and training activities including potential deployment to locations where U.S. Forces are engaged in contingency operations.
  • Adhere to all protocols for accessing and operating on U.S. military installations


Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Information Technology Business Administration or a managementrelated field.
  • Minimum of 12 years of specialized experience in Army or Marine Corps munitions operations.
  • Prior experience as an Ammunition Manager Ordnance Corps Warrant Officer or similar role that demonstrates authoritative understanding of ammunition and munitions management.
  • Indepth understanding of:
  • Army and Marine Corps munitions regulations
  • STRAC guidelines
  • Class V forecasting and resource planning
  • Proven ability to analyze and resolve complex munitions management issues with strategic impact.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to support operational or training requirements.


Preferred Experience:

  • Handson familiarity with munitions systems such as TAMIS WebAmmo or SAASMOD.
  • Experience supporting largescale training exercises or contingency operations involving ammunition logistics.
