The Accounting Manager will lead a team of accounting professionals manage the general ledger oversee monthend and yearend close processes and ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements. The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounting within the financial services sector excellent analytical skills and a passion for process improvement and team development.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounting department including A/R A/P GL and bank reconciliations.
Supervise and mentor accounting staff fostering a collaborative and highperformance team environment.
Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
Lead monthend quarterend and yearend closing processes ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Coordinate and assist with external audits and regulatory examinations.
Maintain internal controls and safeguard the integrity of financial data.
Support budgeting forecasting and variance analysis activities.
Ensure compliance with all federal state and industryspecific financial regulations.
Collaborate crossfunctionally with other departments to support financial planning and strategic initiatives.
Continuously evaluate accounting systems and processes recommending and implementing improvements.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
5 years of progressive accounting experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Experience in the financial services industry strongly preferred.
Solid understanding of GAAP financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
Proficient in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks NetSuite SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical organizational and problemsolving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
