We are looking for a positive approachable enthusiastic team player to join our mobile locality team.
The team of Mobile Locality Officers are at the heart of the local community supporting all neighbourhoods; they act as ambassadors for the Council identifying and responding to customer needs providing support to ensure matters are resolved quickly and efficiently.
The varied duties will include dealing with a wide range of activities such as evidence gathering responding to customer concerns and taking action to improve the quality of residents lives and the environment. Other duties will include undertaking property checks inspections at locations around the Borough delivering documents and lowlevel enforcement.
Applicants must have a full valid driving licence GCSE level at grade C/4 or above or NVQ Level 2 in English and Maths and be confident using remote devices such as tablets. They must be flexible problem solvers who are totally committed to customer care and be able to deal with the public diplomatically in difficult situations. They must also be prepared to keep up with new legislation relating to the varied activities in the role and work occasional evenings and weekends. Good local geographical knowledge would be an advantage.
The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in fluent English is essential in this post.
