Job Description
The role
Opportunities exist for Clinical Sterilising Aides & Technicians to join our busy sterilising department. The CSSD Technician collaborates with the CSSD Aides and provides technical expertise to provide high quality sterile instruments to all departments within the hospital. The team offers a flexible roster and ongoing development.
To be considered applicants will need to possess the following:
- Previous experience working within a Sterilising Unit desirable for Technicians
- Knowledge and understanding of AS5369 (desirable if applying for CSSD Aide)
- Certificate III in Sterilising Services or equivalent for Technicians or a willingness to obtain for CSSD Aides
- Welldeveloped interpersonal skills within a team environment
- Demonstrated organisational and time management skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of infection control and waste management principles
- Demonstrated knowledge of theatre instruments and other surgical devices
