SA Recycling a leader in the metals recycling and processing industry is actively looking for an experienced and detailoriented Freight Payables Specialist. You will be responsible for managing and ensuring the accurate and timely payment of freight invoices. Verify the accuracy of freight charges handle disputes and ensure compliance with payment terms.

Responsibilities of a Freight Payables Specialist:
- Invoice Verification and Processing: Review freight invoices verifying the accuracy of charges applying appropriate discounts and ensuring they are processed correctly.
- Dispute Management: Investigate and resolve disputes with freight carriers regarding incorrect charges overpayments or other discrepancies.
- Payment Processing: Manage the payment of freight invoices ensuring timely and accurate payment to carriers.
- Compliance: Maintain compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures as well as applicable regulations.
- Communication: Respond to vendor questions and inquiries regarding invoices and payments.
- Data Entry and Reporting :Maintain accurate records of freight payments create reports and analyze freight spend data.
Qualifications of a Freight Payables Specialist:
- Excellent verbal and written communication organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to make independent decisions within parameters of established policy and program guidelines.
- Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.
