If this position is filled internally the wage rate will be determined in accordance with the Ohio Revised Code.
This position has been designated as a Career Professional position per the Ohio Revised Code 5501.20.
This position is overtimeexempt based on FLSA Standards.

The successful candidate will act as a technical specialist within the District 12 Construction Office. The District 12 Capital Programs Department is seeking an individual who is passionate about public service conscientious selfdirected adaptable problem solvers and takes the initiative to manage issues independently. The candidate should also have proficiency in reading and interpreting plans and contract documents. He/She must have a strong knowledge of ODOT Specifications and excellent organizational skills. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting and building relationships with various team members project stakeholders public officials contractors and external customers. Candidates who value and pursue professional development can build upon their expertise and experience by utilizing the many training opportunities available to ODOT employees such as CADD project management subsurface utility relocation and other technical training. 24 mos. trg. or 24 mos. exp. in construction management or construction engineering technology & related safety practices; 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in supervisory principles & techniques; 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. in reading survey &/or construction plans; valid drivers license.
Completion of undergraduate core program in Construction Management or Construction Engineering Technology; 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in supervisory principles & techniques; 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. in reading survey &/or construction plans; valid drivers license.
Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
