EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
- University degree and a minimum of 5 years direct regulatory experience or in lieu of degree a minimum of 10 years direct regulatory experience is required.
- Preference for technical backgrounds such as: Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering.
- Minor or relevant coursework in Technical Writing Business Administration or Computer Programming is also beneficial.
- Demonstrated background in International Transportation and Logistics Customs Compliance or Import/Export regulatory compliance required (7 years of Global Trade Compliance experience).
- Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English and German
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- European Union trade regulations and process knowledge.
- EU UK and US trade regulations and process knowledge.
- Preference for Aerospace/Defense industry experience.
- SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) experience.

This position will be located at Textron Aviations Cessna Dsseldorf Citation Service Center GmbH (CDCSC) and will partner with key stakeholders across Textron Aviations European sites to provide guidance on export/import regulations to ensure compliance with European Union German French Swiss Spanish Czech UK and U.S. regulations while enabling successful international business activities. This crossfunctional position reports to Textron Aviations Director of Trade Compliance and interfaces with Parts & Distribution Trade Compliance Finance and the European Service Network.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as a central point of contact for trade and customs issues within Textron Aviations European Service Center network.
- Assist in creating a European centric Import/Export Control framework for Textron Aviation by documentation and implementation of CDCSC export and customs (import) processes.
- Oversee export/import authorization applications including approval of export and/or import transactions with ongoing review of company materials and products for same.
- RepresentTextron Aviation as required in interaction with federal agencies including audits by Customs authorities.
- Design implement and manage a robust EU and Germany customs compliance program for CDCSC including completion of internal audits and selfassessment programs. Assistin the development of policies and procedures for compliance with export/import laws and regulations.
- Review EU and National Export Control laws to determine the appropriate Export Control jurisdiction classification and licensing authorities (determinations) for product transferred and exported within and outside the EU byCDCSC.
- Manage interactions betweenTextron Aviation and Textron Aviations Customs brokers to ensure Customs compliance on imports including tariff classification and accuracy of Customs valuation.
- Validation and maintenance of master data and tariff codes used for customs declarations.
- Review and approveCDCSC international travel and visitors.
- Design and presentation of an ongoing training and communication program on import/export awareness for CDCSC staff focusing on product and nonproduct issues and the regulations around common commodities (e.g. export control (EU)).
- Help prioritize resolution of risks and opportunities to minimize risk to company.
- Document determinations in accordance with company policy and compile data for upload to various compliance databases as required.
- Assist with internal assessments of EU export/import transactions of various shipping points to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
