Job Description
Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS) is one of the largest school divisions in Alberta serving the educational needs of approximately 17950 students in 42 schools. EIPS is recruiting a full time Senior High Teacher at Bev Facey Community High.
This assignment Includes the instruction of the following specialized courses:
- English 201 AP Language and Composition
- AP English 101 Capstone Prep
- AP Seminar and AP Research
Bev Facey Community High serves approximately 1015 students in grades 10 to 12 with 53 teaching staff and 25 support staff. The school is located in Sherwood Park AB.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Education degree
- Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
- Effective organization and classroom management skills
- Ability to create a classroom environment where students feel safe supported and challenged
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Experience or familiarity with analyzing data and using data to inform decisions and/or instruction
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
- Growth mindset and ability to use feedback to improve practice

- AP Language and Composition College Board Accreditation
