Make an impact at Serco
Youll be responsible for leading daytoday kitchen operations and supporting a team in delivering highquality catering services to Acacia Prison. Youll work closely with the Catering Manager and oversee both staff and prisoner workers. This is a fulltime permanent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fastpaced structured environment.
As a Caterer in the Catering team youll make a positive impact by:
- Supporting the Catering Manager with the daily running of the kitchen and catering department
- Leading and training catering staff and prisoners to deliver consistent highquality food services
- Managing stock levels assets and ensuring food safety and hygiene compliance
- Coordinating meal preparation and timely delivery of nutritious culturally appropriate meals
- Ensuring vendor deliveries meet site needs and maintaining stock transparency
- Promoting continuous improvement in catering operations and supporting quality audits

To be successful in this role youll have:
- Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or equivalent trade qualification
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Head Chef in a largescale catering operation
- Sound knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety legislation
- Strong leadership communication and team coordination skills
- Basic/intermediate computer skills and attention to detail
- A current drivers licence and the ability to pass relevant police and security checks
