Job Description

About the role:

The House Supervisor is responsible for the oversight of the daily care provided to young people by Residential Carers within their allocated residential care home. The House Supervisor is a part of the Out of Home Care Program and reports to the Residential Care Coordinator.

The primary objective of this position is to promote a safe healthy and harmonious home environment for young people in our residential care homes. This is achievable through strong leadership as well as the use of learned therapeutic care techniques and role modelling with staff.

This is a Permanent FullTime opportunity based in Bittern VIC within our Out of Home Care Program. The position reports to the Residential Coordinator.

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Relevant Bachelor Degree with experience including four (4) additional mandatory competencies (top up units); or Relevant Diploma with substantial experience including four (4) additional mandatory competencies (top up units).
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise lead and support a team of residential care workers.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the residential care field particularly within a therapeutic environment.
  • Proven ability to relate to and work with young people with social emotional and behavioural difficulties

You must have a:

  • Valid and current Drivers Licence;
