Job Description

The South West Aboriginal Medical Service (SWAMS) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service based in Bunbury which provides a variety of health services to Aboriginal people in the South West Great South Upper wheatbelt and Peel Regions of Western Australia. SWAMS delivers a wide range of Services including: GP Clinics Primary Health Care Counselling NDIS and community host various programs. SWAMS has a strong growth strategy through partnership opportunities and future community development.

About the role

The Contracts Compliance Officer is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of contract management and ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations. This includes support grants and funding applications ensuring timely submission of tenders and maintaining accurate contract reporting. The role will identify and mitigate risks associated with contracts while working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure deliverables are met. Additionally the role will manage and enhance contract management systems to improve efficiency and compliance

  • Provide oversight of the contract lifecycle ensuring contractual compliance and supporting other teams with contractrelated processes
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders ensuring that all parties are aligned on contract deliverables and timelines
  • Develop and maintain effective systems for tracking contract performance and reporting requirements.
  • Support timely submission of highquality funding applications and tenders
  • Identify and develop strategies for mitigating contractrelated risks including managing intellectual property concerns performance indicators and compliance with legal advice where necessary

About you

Essential Aspects

  • Tertiary qualification in business management administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in contract management or a similar role preferably within the health communications or community services sectors
  • Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple contracts and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract management systems.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while supporting a collaborative team environment.
